How Curvo Works (overview)

Curvo is an AI-powered sales intelligence platform that transforms every sales meeting into structured, actionable data. Rather than relying on reps to manually log calls or take notes, Curvo automatically captures conversations, analyzes them in real time, and surfaces insights exactly when and where your team needs them: during calls and in your CRM.
This page walks you through the complete journey, from the moment a meeting is scheduled to the point where your team gets coaching, your CRM is updated, and your organization gains intelligence from every call.
The End-to-End Flow
Step 1: Meeting Detection
Curvo starts by monitoring your connected calendar. When a new meeting is scheduled, Curvo checks whether it matches your workspace's recording scope. If it does, the system prepares to capture it.
How it works depends on your customer type:
Post-Call Only and Post-Call + In-Call Bot workspaces: Curvo's Instant Bot joins the meeting automatically at the scheduled start time. About two minutes before the call begins, the bot appears in the lobby waiting to be admitted.
Post-Call + In-Call Companion and Companion Only workspaces: The Companion desktop app handles recording locally. No bot joins the call. Reps run Companion on their device during the meeting.
Your workspace is set to either record external meetings only (excluding internal team calls) or record all meetings (internal and external). This recording scope determines which meetings get captured.
Step 2: Recording and Transcription
Once the meeting is underway, Curvo captures the audio, video, and participant metadata. The recording is immediately sent for transcription using one of two engines, depending on your workspace configuration:
AssemblyAI: For English-only workspaces. Industry-leading accuracy for English conversation.
Gladia: For multilingual workspaces. Superior support for calls in multiple languages.
The resulting transcript is speaker-attributed, meaning Curvo knows who said what. This is critical for later analysis and coaching.
Step 3: Post-Meeting Analysis
Within minutes of the call ending, Curvo's AI analyzes the full transcript and generates a comprehensive post-meeting report. This includes:
Summary: A concise, plain-language overview of the conversation
MEDDPICC Scorecard: A framework-aligned assessment of how well the rep covered each sales methodology component (Metrics, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Identify Pain, Implications, Champion, Commitment)
Detailed Notes: Key discussion points organized by topic
Follow-Up Actions: AI-identified next steps and tasks
Risk Flags: Potential deal blockers or missed opportunities
Participant Breakdown: Who attended, roles, and engagement levels
All of this is available in Curvo's Meetings dashboard within minutes of the call ending.
Step 4: CRM Sync
If your CRM is connected, Curvo automatically pushes relevant meeting outputs back to the deal record with no manual work from the rep:
Meeting summary and transcript
MEDDPICC score and detailed assessment
Notes and action items
Risk flags and coaching recommendations
Your CRM becomes a living record of every customer conversation, and your sales team has one source of truth.
Note: Supported CRMs include HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Close, and others.
Step 5: In-Call Coaching via Companion
For teams using Companion (Post-Call + In-Call Bot, Post-Call + In-Call Companion, and Companion Only workspace types), the most relevant content from your sales playbook surfaces in real time during the call.
Examples of in-call coaching:
A rep mentions a competitor by name: the matching battle card appears instantly in Companion
A customer raises a common objection: the suggested response is one click away
The rep needs to reference your product's ROI framework: Companion surfaces it without leaving the call
This transforms Companion from a recording tool into an active coaching partner during the call itself.
Step 6: Aggregate Intelligence
Over time, every recorded call feeds into a searchable knowledge base that represents your team's collective meeting history. Curvo's Reporting AI can answer strategic questions that would normally require hours of manual review:
"What's our average MEDDPICC score for Q2 compared to Q1?"
"Which reps are strongest at identifying the Economic Buyer?"
"What are the most common objections we hear from enterprise customers?"
"How long is our average sales cycle for deals in the tech vertical?"
This transforms your meeting history into a coaching asset and a forecasting tool.
Workspace States
A Curvo workspace moves through distinct states as it's provisioned, deployed, and activated. Each state corresponds to a specific phase of the customer's journey.
Provisioning
The admin is working through the setup wizard. The workspace is being created and configured but is not yet live. Reps and the Workspace Owner cannot access it yet.
Active — Admin Pending
The workspace is live and reps have been invited and can start using Curvo. However, the primary Workspace Owner has not yet accepted their invitation or completed setup.
During this state:
CRM sync is paused because the Owner hasn't connected the CRM yet
Playbook-based in-call coaching may be paused because the playbook hasn't been uploaded
Reps see contextual banners explaining what will activate once the Owner completes setup. The banners disappear automatically as each step is completed.
Note: This state is intentional. It lets teams start using Curvo immediately while you're waiting for final sign-off from leadership.
Active — Setup Incomplete
The Workspace Owner has accepted their invitation and logged in but hasn't yet completed all setup steps. Typically, this means:
Calendar is connected, but the CRM is not
CRM is connected, but the playbook hasn't been uploaded
The retention policy hasn't been formally confirmed
Full Curvo features are available, but some integrations are still pending.
Active — Fully Configured
Everything is set up and the complete Curvo experience is live for your team:
Calendar is connected and Curvo is detecting meetings automatically
CRM is connected and call summaries are syncing automatically
Playbook is uploaded and Companion is providing in-call coaching (if applicable)
Retention policy is confirmed
All team members are invited
