The live meeting view

Updated by Rory

This article covers the Curvo desktop app, Companion. To review a finished meeting in the web app, see The Meetings page.

The live meeting view is the Curvo window you work in during a call. It holds your notes, your chat with Curvo, a row of panels for the call, and the recording controls. It opens when you open a meeting or start recording. See Meetings in Companion.

Recording controls

These sit at the right of the meeting header while you record:

Control

What it does

Voice bars

Move while Curvo is listening. Hover over them to see Talk time for each speaker

Timer

Shows how long the recording has run

Pause meeting

Pauses the recording. The button then becomes Resume meeting

Stop meeting

Ends the recording

After you stop, the Notes tab becomes Summary and Curvo generates a summary in the same place. It marks lines it recognises from your notes. Click Open in Curvo to see the meeting in the web app.

Back to your meetings (the back arrow) leaves the recording running, and a small pill with the meeting's name brings you back. Minimising the window shrinks it to a pill.

To keep this window above your other apps, turn on Keep cafe on top under Settings, Meeting. "Cafe" in that label means this window.

Notes and Chat

Click Notes to type during the call. The editor understands # Heading, - List, 1. Numbered, > Quote and --- Divider.

Click Chat to read Curvo's answers. Starting to type in the box at the bottom also opens it. Each answer has Add to notes.

Panel chips

A row of chips under the header opens each panel. It's there on every view except Chat, and the Agents tab in the header takes you to these panels from Notes.

Beside them, the Ask Curvo pill answers the other person's latest question or objection. It only works while you're recording. Curvo runs one of these at a time.

Manage opens your own recipes. You can create Personal ones, and only an admin can share a recipe with everyone at your company as Company. See Ask Curvo in Companion.

Widgets

Widgets are separate floating windows, and all of them are off until you choose them. Click the Widgets grid icon at the end of the chip row (at the top of the window when you're in Chat), then tick the ones you want. They only show during a meeting.

Nudges and playbook topics

Available on selected workspaces.

The Live widget shows nudges, and pills for playbook topics that came up on the call. Click a pill to read its saved answer. With the widget focused, you can press ⌘1, ⌘2 or ⌘3 on a Mac, or Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2 or Ctrl+3 on Windows.

The RTN Mode switch under Settings, Meeting turns the same widget on and off. The app describes it as "Enable real-time meeting assistance with floating widgets". Topics live under Library in the sidebar.

Stealth, Settings and Need help

These three sit at the foot of the window:

  • Stealth hides every Curvo window from screen shares and recordings. Stealth mode under Settings, Meeting is the same switch.

  • Settings opens the app's settings.

  • Need help opens a chat with Curvo support, or an email if the chat can't load.
